Sumerset Nashotah
One of a kind.
There have been hundreds of attempts at building the world’s best wakeboard boats. But there is only one with firm, evenly-sloped wakes so familiar they’ve become the stuff of lake lore. It is easy to see why. The X-1 is the boat that pulled world-, pro tour- and X Games champion Parks Bonifay to his first double half cab roll, his first (and the industry’s only) 1080 and has been the lead towboat of the X Games and Pro Wakeboard Tour -- not to mention being the launch pad for more first-time inverts from legions of groms around the globe.
Even though you’ll spend more time behind it than in it, the X-1 envelopes riders-in-waiting in comfort, thanks to a full wrap-around seat set, complete with board and gear storage underneath – nearly 40-cubic-feet in all. The standard Clarion four speaker and 10-inch subwoofer stereo system has been rated the best in the industry, and adding two billet aluminum speaker cans only adds to the fun inside and behind the boat.
Clearly, your buddies will be begging to get out back, as the wakes behind the X-1 are thick and clean with a crisp lip. Formed by the X-1’s narrow, clean underside, they are perfect at line lengths from 50 to 80 feet. So, whether you’re going for your first wake jump or 10th attempt at a 1080, you can’t help but get better behind a boat that’s been helping riders do that right from the start.
